Seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer for our client within the professional services industry to join their close-knit, high-performing finance team based in the Sydney CBD. Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice & Expense Processing: Review, code, and process invoices and employee expense reimbursements, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies and authorisation matrixes.

  • Payment Cycles: Prepare and execute weekly electronic payment runs for authorised corporate invoices and staff claims.

  • Inbox & Query Management: Monitor the centralized AP inbox and finance helpdesk, ensuring all incoming invoices are entered promptly and internal/external queries are resolved without delay.

  • Vendor & Credit Card Management: Maintain accurate supplier master data, verify banking credentials, and drive the reconciliation of monthly corporate credit card statements against supporting documentation.

  • Receipting & Allocations: Input daily receipts accurately based on client remittances, investigate unidentifiable banking entries, and coordinate refunds for duplicate or incorrect payments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience, ideally gained within a legal, accounting, or corporate professional services environment. Prior experience handling basic AR receipting is highly favorable.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience utilizing specialized corporate accounting software (such as Aderant, Elite, 3E, or similar legal/professional services ERPs) is highly preferred, alongside strong general systems literacy.

  • Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, robust problem-solving abilities, and superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Work Style: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks, remain calm under pressure, and work cohesively within a high-performing team.
